Desktop is the packaged application for people who want that experience on Mac, Windows, and Linux. It is a separate product from Yggdrasil Core. This site does not publish the Desktop installer, and the Core packages on the download page are not the Desktop app.

When the Mac App Store listing is live, that will be the Mac download. Until then, use the official desktop distribution channels. Homebrew installs Core, not Desktop, and that formula is not an install path yet.
